Terms of Service

By using Solowrks ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

Solowrks is a tool for solo consultants and freelancers to track time, mileage, expenses, and invoicing. It connects to your Google account to store your business data in your own Google Sheet and Drive folder, mirrored in our application database for performance.

• You must sign in with a valid Google account. You're responsible for keeping that account secure.
• You're responsible for the accuracy of business data you enter, including any invoices you send to clients.
• You may use Solowrks for any lawful purpose. Don't use it to commit fraud, harass others, or violate any law.

• You own your business data. We claim no ownership over the clients, projects, invoices, or expenses you record.
• You can export your data at any time from Settings, and you can delete your account from Settings — both actions are immediate and permanent.

Solowrks may offer free, trial, and paid tiers. Current pricing, if any, is shown in the app or on our website. Paid subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and we don't pro-rate refunds for partial months.

We aim for high uptime but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. Solowrks depends on third-party providers (Google APIs, Vercel, Neon, Upstash, Anthropic) and their availability is outside our control. We're not liable for downtime, delays, or data loss caused by these providers.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to send spam, phishing emails, or otherwise abuse the Gmail integration.
• Attempt to access other users' data or circumvent authentication.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service.
• Resell or rebrand the Service without written permission.
• Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful activity.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that defects will be corrected. We don't guarantee that AI receipt scanning, expense categorization, or P&L reports are accurate — always review before relying on them for tax purposes.

Solowrks is not a substitute for professional accounting, tax, or legal advice. Talk to a qualified professional before making decisions based on the data the Service produces.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Solowrks and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or lost data, arising out of your use of the Service. Our total cumulative liability for direct damages won't exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these terms. After termination, your data is deleted from our database within 30 days; your Google Sheet and Drive folder remain under your control.

We may update these terms occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be communicated via email to active users; continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina.
